This article is written for us, the public. To create awareness among us, about the changes we are experiencing in our everyday life. They are also trying to argue against those who are saying that the changes that we encountering now are natural.
The aim of the article is to persuade everyone that the changes are not natural. They are persuading us by giving specific examples. They compared the changes now with changes encountered years back, such as “According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, eleven of the twelve hottest years since thermometer readings became available occurred between 1995 and 2006”. They hope to create a better understanding among us about our environment. From our understanding they hope for us to change for the better. They are asking us to take action against global warming in directly. They are trying to invoke responsibility to us. We have to be responsible for our action which affect at a wide range. we have to rectify ur mistake and make a peaceful world together.
This article was written to emphasis on the importance of global warming as it does not affect a significant person or country. It is a problem faced by all the countries in the world. This problem has to be solved soon for mankind to live peacefully. This problem is a serious problem to be solved. Therefore this issue was raised in this article.
There has been many problems caused by climate change for example forest fire, flooding, droughts, changes in the ranges in which plants and animals can live, loss of water supplies that have historically come from glaciers and many more. Singapore is also facing problems caused by global warming. One of which is that Singapore is surrounded by sea and it is vulnerable to the rising sea levels. Singapore is thinking about building dikes. Heavy rain is also a consequence of global warming in Singapore.
After knowing so much about global warming we must do something to prevent it from getting worse. We always start with something simple like following the 3’Rs (reuse, reduce and recycle). I have started, have you?
